How we handle corrections
If something on this site is wrong, we want to know, and we fix it in the open.

How to report an error
Email corrections@avoir.com.au with the page, the figure or statement you believe is wrong, and, where you can, a source. One dedicated address, monitored for exactly this.
We acknowledge every correction request within two business days.
Material corrections
A material correction is anything that changes a figure, a rate, an eligibility criterion, or a conclusion. When we make one, we add a dated correction notice at the foot of the affected page, describing what was wrong and what it now says. That notice stays permanently. We do not quietly overwrite the record.
Minor corrections
Typos, broken links, and formatting fixes are made silently, without a notice.
What we never do
Corrections are never made by quietly deleting the page. If a page is wrong, we correct it and record the correction; we do not make the problem, or the evidence of it, disappear.
The corrections log
Every material correction is listed in our public corrections log, newest first. An empty log that is visibly maintained is worth more than no log. So it is there, and it is honest, from day one.
